The exhibition that gave an impetus to the programme Grey Is the Cube, Blue the Ellipse, opened on January 22, 2024. A monumental installation by Danylo Halkin, an artist originally from the city of Dnipro in Ukraine and previous resident at the Cité internationale des arts. The installation incorporated stained glass windows dating from the socialist period. Carefully evacuated by the artist from eastern Ukraine, they have found a new life at the House of Culture during the exhibition. Through this intervention, Btps questions the stories inscribed and written in this structure, revealing the paradoxes and parallels with ideas and ideological, cultural, and aesthetic positions beyond the French context.
